D.N.A. — Discovering New Adventures
Innovation & community builds

The next challenge
starts with a build.

D.N.A. is developing programs that connect engineering, practical skills, environmental learning, and competition. The process becomes part of the experience.

Program development

From an idea to a reusable obstacle.

Developing program model

Community-built courses

Engineering professionals, volunteers, and organizational partners would work alongside teams of approximately 15 young adults to design, measure, assemble, test, dismantle, and transport modular obstacles.

The completed pieces would contribute to D.N.A.’s reusable inventory. Build footage, interviews, and demonstrations would document the learning along the way.

  1. 01
    Design & measure

Explore the problem, materials, and engineering principles.

  2. 02
    Assemble & test

Build under qualified supervision and evaluate the result.

  3. 03
    Compete & document

Celebrate each team’s work through demonstrations and media.

  4. 04
    Dismantle & reuse

Learn how portable equipment moves into its next life.

Future programs

Learning that leaves something behind.

Youth skills / Planned

A traveling build

A rotating recreation-center concept would allow successive groups to contribute to the same obstacle project, learning construction, design, teamwork, and repair.

Engineering / Planned

A featured designer

A proposed annual engineer showcase would follow a distinctive obstacle from concept and prototype through testing, competition, and reuse, with particular visibility for engineers of color.

Environmental science / Concept

Sort it. Score it. Understand it.

A proposed cleanup-themed competition connects movement with recycling, compost, and landfill sorting, supported by electronic response and scoring systems.

Repair & reuse / Concept

Give materials a next chapter

Supervised inspection and restoration concepts would connect practical skills, reclaimed materials, and sustainability storytelling. Equipment must be professionally approved before participant use.

Brand innovation / Future direction

Themed challenges. Thoughtfully developed.

Custom obstacle concepts could connect sports, entertainment, brand activations, and educational demonstrations. Athlete likenesses and commercial branding would be used only with appropriate authorization and agreements.

Partnership opportunities

Help shape what comes next.

We’re interested in engineering mentors, materials partners, fabrication support, sponsored learning opportunities, and organizations that want to develop meaningful programs together.
